DINGLEY LODGE HOTEL
BED AND BREAKFAST IN MARKET HARBOROUGH, LEICESTERSHIRE
A delightful family-owned & run country hotel, Dingley Lodge sits on the borders of Leicestershire and Northamptonshire. We ~ Christine and Bruce ~ spent a long time in the restoration of this old house, with its fine views and its homely atmosphere, and have an established and ever-growing reputation for good quality accommodation and personal service. We have 5 stars on Trip Advisor's website and in 2013 we were winners of their 'bargain hotel' award.
The house itself is a handsome Victorian building set in four acres of gardens and paddocks and surrounded by open countryside. Built in 1888 by the Downe family for a highly-esteemed farm manager, it overlooks the bustling market town of Market Harborough and has extensive views over the Welland Valley and Dingley's own Point-to-Point course.
Please note that our prices include breakfast.
Dingley Lodge is large enough to accommodate groups of up to 16, with enough free off-road parking for everyone (we've even had helicopters). We have a bar, a lounge and dining room (though currently we’re unable to offer evening meals). Outdoors is a cloistered terrace and guests are welcome to stroll round the grounds, take in the views and meet the animals.
If you need more facilities, Dingley is just two miles from Market Harborough, a busy market town with excellent restaurants and shops.
We've fought shy of the usual Visit Britain/AA/RAC schemes, preferring to stand or fall on the opinions of our customers. We've had some generous reviews on sites such as Trip Advisor (5 Stars) and Lodging World (9.2).
Dingley Lodge is difficult to fit into an accommodation category since the hotel image implies loads of facilities and often impersonal service. We've decided to promote ourselves as a good, old-fashioned, Licensed Guest House.
