Welcome to Number 43

Number 43 opened in early 2008 and we have been delighted to pick up a number of awards and accolades in such a short time. The highlight to date has to be winning the Best Bed and Breakfast (B&B) in England Award in 2011 from the national tourist board, Visit England, which was a fantastic recognition of the hard work we have put in since Number 43 opened.

We have also achieved 5 star status from Visit Britain and 5 star highly commended from the AA along with a Gold Award from Visit Britain for our outstanding levels of quality and customer service.

In an ever time pressed world, we know that your holidays, short breaks and weekend breaks are precious. So, from the moment you arrive at Number 43, you can sit back, relax and we will make sure that every moment of your time with us is special.

The terraces:

We have two terraces at Number 43, the one at the front is a photographer´s and artists dream and is a popular place for guests to relax and while away the hours with a bottle of wine and a sharing platter – or even to enjoy breakfast on an early morning with only the local wildlife for company.

The lounge:

Designed with your comfort and relaxation in mind, Number 43´s lounge is bright, airy and spacious. Sit in the window seats and people watch until your heart´s content with a freshly brewed coffee and homemade cake or curl up on the comfy sofa with a glossy magazine or one of the books from our collection. Our wall is adorned with some fantastic local artwork that we’ll even let you buy to take home with you as a reminder of your time in Arnside and we leave our CD collection at your disposal to make you really feel at home. And the honesty bar in the dining room next door means that you have no excuse for ever letting your glass run low!
