The village of Aberfoyle (Obar Phuill) has a population of around 640 and it is in the Scottish county of Stirling,situated 27 miles northwest of Glasgow.
Geography
Aberfoyle is situated at the foot of Craigmore and on the Laggan, a head-water of the River Forth.
Industry
Formerly, Iron, slate and wool were the main industries of Aberfoyle but these have all now closed and the main industry today is tourism. Aberfoyle is ideally situated as the gateway to the Trossachs National Park.
