Aberdyfi itself has an award-winning links golf course, sailing, fishing, and a host of other watersports. The Riverside in nearby Pennal is renowned for its good food. The BBC's popular Springwatch series visits the RSPB's Ynys-hir reserve during May and June. The reserve is across the estuary from the farm and apartments. When staying at 'The Old Stables' guests can enjoy the facilities at nearby Plas Talgarth including indoor pool, outdoor pool, steam room, sauna, jacuzzi, gym, childrens adventure play area etc.
There are 4 luxuriously appointed apartments: Apartment 2 sleeping 4 guests plus travelcot/s has a lounge/dining area with wooden doors opening onto a large hardwood terrace with a sun parasol and a set of all weather wicker furniture seating up to 8 and an Outback gas barbeque. The fully fitted kitchen has a Smeg double oven, ceramic hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, Neff microwave, and a washer/dryer. Royal Doulton cutlery. The lounge has a fabulous cream leather sofa, chair, and matching footstool, solid oak and glass dining table to seat four and a flat screen digital TV with Freeview, a DVD player, and a separate CD system. Bedroom 1 has a luxury super-king zip and link divan set. There is a flat screen TV with Freeview and DVD player. It has its own fully-tiled en-suite shower room fitted with a multiple spray tower shower, toilet, and washbasin. Bedroom 2 has French doors opening onto the courtyard and is furnished with zip and link beds so it can be either a twin or double room, The fully tiled bathroom has a large whirlpool and air spa bath, toilet, and oak vanity unit with basin. Apartment 3 sleeping 4 guests plus travel cot/s has a lounge/dining area with a luxurious black leather suite, chair and matching footstool, and an Italian design glass dining table to seat four. Doors open onto a 35 foot long hardwood terrace which has a large sun parasol, a set of all weather wicker furniture seating up to 8 people, and a gas barbeque. The luxury kitchen area has a full range of appliances (Smeg double oven, ceramic hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, Neff microwave, wine chiller, fitted winerack, and a washer/dryer). Bedroom 1 has wooden doors opening onto the terrace. It has a luxury super-king zip and link divan set and its own dressing room. The fully tiled bathroom has a large whirlpool and air spa bath, hand basin, and toilet. Bedroom 2 also has its own door onto the terrace. It is furnished with a luxurious king-size zip and link divan set, and the fully tiled en-suite shower room has a shower tower, oak vanity unit with basin, and toilet. Apartment 5 sleeping 3 guests plus travel cot/s is accessed via a small hardwood bridge leading onto a large hardwood decked terrace. There is an all weather wicker furniture set seating up to four people and a gas barbeque. The door leads into the lounge/dining/kitchen area. The oak kitchen is fitted with a Smeg double oven, ceramic hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, and washer/dryer. The lounge is furnished to a very high standard with two matching leather sofas, a solid oak and glass table to seat four. There is a flatscreen TV with built in DVD player and Freeview, and a separate CD system. Bedroom 1 has vaulted ceilings and luxurious 3’ zip and link beds. Bedroom 2 has a single luxury bed. The fully tiled luxury shower room is equipped with an electric shower, oak vanity unit with basin, and toilet. Apartment 6 sleeping 4 guests plus travel cot/s is reached by slate steps down a terraced path that leads onto a large hardwood decked terrace that wraps around the whole front of the apartment. It is over 50’ long and very private. An all weather wicker furniture set seating up to 4 people is provided, two reclining chairs, and a gas barbeque. The doors open into a large lounge/kitchen/dining area. There are other doors opening onto the terrace from the dining area to allow access for meals al fresco. The lounge and kitchen enjoy fabulous panoramic views over the estuary. The kitchen is fitted with a Smeg double oven, ceramic hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, Neff microwave, and washer/dryer. The lounge has a very large curved sofa in luxurious cream leather with a matching footstool. The dining table is solid oak and glass and seats four. There is a large flatscreen TV with Freeview, a DVD player and separate CD system. Bedroom 1 has luxurious zip and link beds and a private door onto the terrace. Bedroom 2 has luxurious zip and link beds. The fully tiled luxury shower room has a tiled floor with underfloor heating, electric shower, oak vanity unit with basin, and toilet,
All apartments enjoy fantastic views over the estuary. We do not accept pets in Apartment 3. All our water comes from our own deepwater spring which is then UV filtered to provide a sparklingly pure source for drinking and bathing. Royal Doulton cutlery, Viners crockery and Viners kitchen utensils are also provided as are starter provisions such as tea, coffee, sugar, flour, wine vinegar, oil, kitchen roll, foil, and cling film. There is also an iron and an ironing board. Underfloor heating has been fitted throughout with thermostatic controls to each room. The floors in all areas are oak apart from the bathrooms which are tiled and the internal doors are also oak. All the apartments have numerous luxury light fittings and external lighting on the terraces, televisions, and CD players. There is a large communal courtyard area with an abundance of plants. Bed linen and towels are provided for your stay. A hairdryer is also provided. There is a private parking area accessed via electrically operated main gates to the properties. Each apartment has designated parking space(s). All apartments are Wifi enabled.
