Built in the 1870's Feith Mhor (Fay Mor) is a recently renovated, charming and substantial country house taking its Gaelic name from its surroundings: great stillness. Set amidst delightful gardens and grounds it enjoys marvellous views to the west over the remote Monadhliath Hills. Feith Mhor Lodge offers self catering accommodation for 11 people plus 2 - a perfect location in which to unwind, relax or indulge in a sporting Highland holiday.
Carrbridge is located in the Cairngorm National Park, 25 miles to the north is the capital of the Highlands, Inverness and 7 miles to the south is Aviemore, the Cairngorms and its ski-centre. Our area boasts a huge variety of wildlife and beyond the more common spieces of roe deer, red grouse and arctic hares are the more spectacular golden eagle, black cock and capercaillie. Up the glen large herds of red deer graze in the evening mist. A welcoming and comfortable base from which to enjoy the Highlands.
Feith Mhor Lodge sleeps 11 plus 2. The Ground Floor accommodation comprises: Entrance Hall, Drawing room, Dining room and Breakfast room, Kitchen, WC and Drying Room, Double bedroom with en-suite bathroom. On the First Floor there are two twin bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms, two double/twin bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, one single bedroom with en-suite shower.
The kitchen is equipped with gas/electric cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine. All bedrooms have en-suite facilities with private shower or bathroom. There are 2 Z-beds with linen. All linen and towels provided. Open fires and central heating. Complimentary oil, electricity and fuel. Dogs welcomed and kennels available of required. Large enclosed and well maintained garden. Housekeeper available by separate negotiation. The lawned gardens have outdoor badminton and swingball. Wireless Broadband internet available. Children's games, books, barbecue, garden furniture, cot and highchair all provided. Short breaks from £880 per week.
