Speyside Trust Badaguish Centre is a place where you can explore and develop new and exciting skills in safety, amidst the superb forest and mountain scenery of the Cairngorms National Park in the Scottish Highlands. It is committed to Access for All and to programmes and facilities which offer equal opportunities in an integrated setting. The luxury self catering accommodation is set amidst the forest in a secluded area of Badaguish Centre, between Aviemore and the Cairngorm Mountains in the Cairngorms National Park - idyllic surroundings at any time of the year! By using some of the best and most professional activity providers in the area, Badaguish offers a wide range of exhilarating activities, including rock climbing, high ropes, abseiling, canoeing, archery, orienteering and zip-wire. There are excellent mountain biking tracks through wonderful scenery leading right out from the Badaguish site and for those wanting a bit more power, quad biking is available locally.
Badaguish is an ideal place to experience some new activities or improve existing skills with the help of our local Activity Providers. Whether on holiday, a day visit, a team building event, bringing a family/friends group, staying on-site in our luxury lodges, wigwams or camping, or living locally ...... there's lots for you to do. Badaguish exists to help people with disabilities develop new skills and enjoy the outdoors and is affiliated to Adventure for All. There is a separate lodge (situated on the far side of the extensive site) that provides activity holidays for people with physical and learning disabilities.
Forest Lodges: Three options but all one price - you just choose which of the three options best suits your sleeping arrangements. The lodges are spacious, modern, centrally heated, and accessible, sleeping from 10 to 17 depending on your sleeping arrangements, with the use of all on-site facilities. Although self-catering, we can offer meals on a half/ full board basis to make your stay a really relaxed one. Sandy's Bothy is a social enterprise Café Restaurant. Licensed bar available. Evening meals, light snacks, cakes and goodies available. We use organic and Fairtrade produce sourced from local and regional suppliers The lodges are in a superb location enabling you to go on fantastic walks right from the moment you cross your own doorstep! There are forest trails, lochside paths or more challenging walks for those feeling adventurous. When the weather is warm, you can eat 'al fresco', as each Lodge has a patio, picnic table and BBQ and although charcoal can be purchased from various outlets in Aviemore, a lot of fun can be had from gathering fallen wood from the surrounding forest for BBQ use. Ample parking is located adjacent to each Lodge, with additional parking nearby. Ideal for short or long breaks, meetings, training courses, as a conference venue or for bringing a group of friends/family for a special occasion. Accessibility Features include round floor designed to be wheelchair/mobility impaired accessible, low height bench in dining/kitchen area for wheelchair/seated access use, extra large shower room with toilet transfer bars, possible loan of manual hoist and/or shower chair ( if required please contact us), possible loan of a nursing care adjustable bed with cot sides.
Wigwams: Our Wigwams are cosy, heated, and fitted with robust wooden sleeping platforms. The central sleeping platform is easily dismantled, giving a spacious, light and versatile interior for daytime use. Full use of our heated toilet and shower facilities. The wigwams offer all-season accommodation for up to 4 people for a minimum 3 nights stay, pre-booked and fully paid only. Why not have a snack, lunch or meal at Sandy's Bothy? Sorry but NO PETS are allowed in Wigwams.
Campsite: Our 6 acres of grassland offers enough space to accommodate any group size up to 100. Available with modern showers and toilets and with/without self catering kitchen facility (when available), you couldn't ask for a better spot to pitch your tent and enjoy the fantastic scenery that surrounds you. Sorry NO PETS are allowed on our site.
Facilities onsite include a covered Sports Hall with large, floodlit area laid with special soft flooring, complete with 5-a-side nets, basketball posts and floodlights; BBQ Hut; The Hall, a larger dining/meeting room which seats approximately 80-100 in rows theatre style or approx 80 for dining purposes - it has its own fully equipped, self catering kitchen. Outside there is an adventure play area, pond and stream and spacious outdoor area for family/group games.

By Car: From Aviemore, take the road at the south end of the village signposted for Cairngorm and Loch Morlich, and continue for approx 5 miles. Badaguish Centre is signposted on the left before you reach Loch Morlich on the right. Turn at the signs and carry straight on along the forest road through the trees for approx 1 mile.
By Train: Aviemore Station, with taxis available to Badaguish
By Plane: Inverness with bus link into Inverness city centre where trains are available to Aviemore.
