Home

Built in 1648, Stonehaven combines old world charm with modern luxury. Set in a quiet lane, off the Green, in the beautiful village of Weldon, Stonehaven has been tastefully extended and is in an ideal location for Corby and the Euro Hub at Stanion as well being a perfect base for those wishing to explore the lovely North Northamptonshire countryside. See the Red Kites that thrive in the area or visit the nearby ancient villages.

We are located next to the Cricket field and not far from the Corby Golf Club. We are a short walk from the shops and pubs in the village centre. Stonehaven is ideal for the business visitor to Corby, who wishes to enjoy the advantages of a rural village, whilst being able to access the business area of Corby which is just minutes away by car.

Weldon is a largely unspoilt village, built of local stone, with many thatched cottages. It has two pubs and a local shop which provides for all needs. Additional shopping is available in Corby town centre where a range of high street brand name are available.

By Car: We are situated just off the A43 in the centre of Weldon, opposite the Woolpack Pub. We are attached to the Thatched cottages. Keeping them on your right, follow on passing the thatched cottages keeping them on your right following down the lane into our car park.

From the A1 travelling north off onto A14 east. Follow the Corby signs onto the A43 into Weldon.

From the A1 travelling south, off at A43 )Stamford/Kettering). Follow to Weldon.

From M6 South, off at A14, follow and depart at Kettering.Stayin left hand lane, follow to Corby East Stamford onto A43 onto Weldon

From M1 North, off at Junction 15, follow to Kettering, then as above.

By Bus: The X4 bus on the hour, every hour from Peterborough to Milton Keynes and vice versa. The bus stop is as thelocal Londis store and is about 5 minutes walk.

By Train: Main train station is Corby and also Kettering Station.

Accommodation

Stonehaven has two beautifully decorated double rooms. One of them is situated on the Ground floor and provides disabled access. This downstairs bedroom is suitable for disabled persons and has a wet room.

Both rooms have lovely view of the gardens and the cricket field beyond. Our rates include either a full english or continental breakfast.

Facilities

We provide secure off road parking in our private courtyard.

We aim to cater for the needs of all our visitors in our home based two bedroom bed & breakfast.
ARRIVAL BY CAR & PARKING FACITIES

AMPLE CAR PARKING ON SITE. ASISTANCE WITH LUGGAGE IS ALWAYS OFFERED TO GUESTS. ENTRANCE IS ACCESSED VIA THE FRONT OF THE COTTAGE. ACCESS FOR DISABLED IS ALSO VIA THE FRONT OF THE COTTAGE. GUIDE DOGS ARE WELCOME.

ON ENTRY INTO OUR HOME YOU ENTER VIA A HALLWAY IT HAS A TILED FLOOR AND STAIRS LEADING TO THE UPPER FLOOR.

PUBLIC AREAS / GENERAL (INTERNAL)
GUEST DINING ROOM HAS A TILED FLOOR WITH UNDER FLOOR HEATING. THIS LEADS TO OUR KITCHEN WHERE GUEST ARE WELCOME TO VISIT TO HAVE A CUPPA IN RELAXED SUROUNDINGS IF SO WISHED.

FOR THE USE OF OUR UTILITY ROOM PLEASE ASK WE WILL OBLIGE.

Stonehaven enjoys a central position in an area known for its many attractions. Close to Corby and Rockingham Castle, it is also handy for Rockingham Speedway. The lovely towns of Oundle, Fotheringhay, Stamford and Peterborough are all a short drive away, as is Rutland Water and Burleigh House. Surrounded by some of the most striking countryside in England, explore the lovely ancient stone villages of north Northamptonshire and see the red kites as they soar above the woods and fields.
