Welcome to Bassett Wood Farm. We are a family run business set in the heart of the Peak District and we offer luxurious accommodation, caravanning facilities, quaint tea rooms and farm tours.
Our Bed & Breakfast accommodation is of four star standard, with en-suite rooms and four poster beds. The honeymoon room is particularly romantic. Not only does the farmhouse lie in the picturesque Peak District, but we can also supply our customers with champagne, which really does make us the perfect venue for a romantic break!
Enjoy a wealth of homemade and organic produce in our unique and cosy tearoom. You can watch the cows grazing contentedly through the unique viewing area, as you enjoy a well earned rest and cup of tea. Afterwards, why not take advantage of a farm tour and trip into the pets paddock - a firm favourite with children!
Derbyshire is celebrated as one of the most beautiful counties in England. It is wonderfully diverse in terms of landscapes and terrain and the high moors in the north give way to the limestone dales in the centre and the rolling landscape in the south. Basset Wood Farm is ideally situated to enjoy some of the finest walks in the Peak District.
Bassett Wood Farm is a well-established, family run business. The delicious, organic food which is served for breakfast and in the quaint and cosy tearooms has been recognised by the Peak Park Cuisine Group which requires all food to be sourced locally.

By Car: Bassett Wood Farm is approximately 7 minutes from Ashbourne Town Centre:
Depart Ashbourne on the A515 [ Buxton Road ] for approximately 5.1 km
At the crossroads, turn right onto Tissington Park (just past the Bluebell pub on the A515).
Continue through the park, over the cattle grid and straight through the village. You will pass the village pond and Tissington Trail Centre on your right.
Turn RIGHT onto our private drive, (our sign will be evident) and continue for 0.1 km. Our farm is at the end of the road, past the sign for the Tissington Trekking Centre.
Bassett Wood Farm is approximately 23 minutes from Buxton Town Centre:
Depart Buxton on A53 [ Station Road ] for 0.1 km.
At the roundabout, take the FIRST exit onto the A515 and continue for 26.9 km.
At the crossroads, turn left onto Tissington Park (just before the Bluebell pub on the A515).
Continue through the park, over the cattle grid and straight through the village. You will pass the village pond and Tissington Trail Centre on your right.
Turn RIGHT onto our private drive, (our sign will be evident) and continue for 0.1 km. Our farm is at the end of the road, past the sign for the Tissington Trekking Centre.

Honeymoon Suite: A beautiful, spacious room with four-poster bed swathed in cream voile. En-suite shower, hot drinks tray and TV. The suite is perfect for honeymooners.Family Wing : This luxurious and spacious suite consists of a tastefully equipped double room, complete with four poster bed, ensuite facilities and a secondary room with full size bunk beds and tea making facilities. The master room enjoys a very novel and interesting view overlooking the Pets Paddock, as well as a television and tea making facilities.Twin Room : A lovely room, which has an en-suite bathroom, T.V and hot drinks tray.
