A delightful 16th century thatched house, offering Bed & Breakfast accommodation, situated on the edge of the tranquil, Breckland's village of Thompson.
Under the present owners, the 'Thatched House' has been voted in the 'Top 20 Bed & Breakfast' by 'Which?' Consumer's guide, it has also featured on the pages of several Sunday supplementary magazines as well as appearing on TV's 'Off The Beaten Track'.
The village of Thompson is situated approx three miles from the market town of Watton. Ideally situated as a base for visiting the other nearby towns of Swaffham, Thetford, Dereham and Attleborough, as well as Norwich , Cambridge and Ely.
Thompson is very popular with visitors who wish to explore the famous 'Peddars Way' walk, or the Pingo Trail (a feature left from the last Ice age!)

By Car: Starting out from Thetford, Norfolk A134. At roundabout take the 3rd exit onto Thetford bypass - A11 (Signposted Norwich) A11. At roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Thetford bypass - A11 (Signposted Norwich). At next roundabout take the first exit onto the A1075 (Signposted Watton, East Dereham). A1075 over level crossing and continue forward onto the A1075. Entering Wretham A1075 'Dog & Partridge' Public house. A1075 turn left onto Stow Bedon road, next bear right onto Church road, then bear right onto School road. Entering Thompson School road, continue forward onto Mill road. Approaching a sharp Right hand bend (Pockthorpe corner), 'Thatched House' is on your right.
