Going on holiday with your dog or pet can be a very important part of the decision to book a specific self catering cottage or B & B in the location you desire.
Stayinbritain has provided facilities for you to find these properties and we would give the following advice to avoid disappointment.
If you wish to take your dog or cat with you on holiday, you need to make sure in advance, that the property you are thinking of booking, allows you to bring your
pet with you. We have used the terms “Pet Friendly” and “Pets allowed” to describe these Self catering cottages or Bed and breakfast properties that provide this
facility. It is unlikely that you will be allowed to bring a dog, cat or other pet with you into a city centre hotel, although many will make an exception for Guide
dogs or other pets that are specifically trained to provide assistance to people with disabilities.
Stayinbritain has provided a search facility to specifically list self catering and other properties that do allow pets when visitors stay. To use these search
facilities, first select the property type you wish to find, then, on the search page, select the area or town you wish to stay in and click on the GO button. Then
on the results page you will see a set of filters at the top of the results under the heading “Only show me results which have the following:”. One of these is “Pets
allowed”. Tick that option (and any others that apply) and click the “GO” button. The results will then be filtered to show those that meet your criteria.
It is worth noting that some property owners may not have indicated to us that they allow pets and may therefore not appear in the results. If you specifically
wish to book a property, it may be worth also checking their website to make sure they do not allow pets. All paid customers on Stayinbritain have links to their
websites as a standard part of their advertisement.
