Leeds and Reading Festival

A pair of annual musical events that have taken place simultaneously in Leeds, Yorkshire and Reading, Berkshire, since 1998, on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the August bank holiday weekend. Both venues share the same bill of artists. The Reading Festival is the oldest existing Pop festival and for nine years until 2007, both events were formally known as the “Carling Weekend Leeds” and the “Carling Weekend Reading” due to the sponsorship of the Carling Brewery which ceased in November 2007. The Leeds venue is in Bramham Park, near Wetherby, Leeds and the Reading venue is at Little John's Farm on Richfield Avenue in central Reading. Camping facilities are provided at both venues. The festivals are run by Festival Republic.
