Brighton Pride Festival Parade

Celebrating everything gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender, the Brighton Pride Festival Parade has evolved from modest beginnings in 1992, to become the biggest pride parade in Europe. As a city, Brighton prides itself on its tolerance and is considered the gay capital of the UK.

The Brighton Pride Festival Parade takes over the life of the town for the whole week, with street parties across the city and ends with an extravagant parade from the Brighton Pier to Preston Park, with large floats and flamboyant costumes, street performers and music. Entry to Preston Park is free and the atmosphere is one of fun and enjoyment. The celebration starts around midday and end around 8 in the evening.

Travel to the Pride Festival Parade is via rail to Brighton Railway Station and regular high speed trains run from London.
