The Gardens at Buckingham Palace are not usually open to the public and are the personal London gardens of the Royal Family. My wife and I were fortunate to receive a special invitation to attend one of the three Garden Parties that are held the each year. We stayed overnight in an hotel in Victoria so that we would be there in time for the event next day. A truly memorable experience and a great honour to have been invited.

Hidden Gems - St. Nechtan's Glen

Off the beaten trackbetween Tintagel and Boscastle, in a lovely corner of Cornwall, lies St. Nectan's Glen. This is a very lovely walk along a clear sparkling river through ancient woodlands to the head of the valley where the river plunges over a 60 foot waterfall. There is a modest charge to visit the waterfall itself but it is well worth it and a great experience.
