Madam Tussauds
A major attraction in London, Madam Tussauds, in Marylebone Road, central London, is a museum that houses waxwork figures of famous historical people, notorious criminals and modern celebrities, sports stars and royalty.
Founded in 1835 in Baker Street, the museum has become famous institution around the world and the older waxworks are a record of many famous people from the 19th century. There are now other branches of Madam Tussauds in several cities. The Tussauds Group are owned by Merlin Entertainment.
Travel to the museum is via Baker Street Tube Station (2 minutes walk) or to Marylebone Railway Station (10 minutes walk). There are a number of buses that go to Baker Street. Marylebone Road is part of the A40 and there are car parks in the Baker Street area. Post code for Sat Nav is NW1 5LR.
