Take a look at Suffolk

27 January 2012

Suffolk is a county of changing scenery and lovely old Saxon villages that seem to have retained all the charm of a bye gone era. It is a tourist destination that has become extremely popular over the last twenty years and there are now many places that offer bed and breakfast in Suffolk and a very large number of cottages that cater for the increasing numbers that like to spend their holidays in a self catering cottage in Suffolk, especially in the rural areas. Whatever your accommodation needs, there is a local hotel or local pub, a bed and breakfast or self catering property that can meet your needs.

Suffolk has many places that are popular with visitors. The RSPB reserve at Minsmere attracts many visitors and these provide a steady income for the many bed and breakfast in Suffolk who cater for this traffic but other locations such as Southwold, a seaside town in the north of the county, have a range of attractions, including the famous Adnams Brewery and many Suffolk Hotels are based in the town. Further south is the town of Saxmundham, an ancient Saxon town that has remained largely unspoilt by modern developments and where a number of independent Suffolk hotels, such as the Bell can be found. In the surrounding villages such as Westleton, there are a range of facilities from Suffolk Pub accommodation such as the Crown, the Ship Inn or the White Horse, several Suffolk bed and breakfast properties and self catering cottages in Suffolk countryside.

This is a county that deserves to be explored by more and more tourists, especially from other parts of Britain. Its landscape changes very quickly from rolling hills to flat coastal plains, to coastal walks where whole villages are slowly slipping into the sea. It has many fine churches, museums, family attractions and a host of things for all the family. Whether you want a self catering cottage in Suffolk or a bed and breakfast in Suffolk’s country villages, make sure you plan early for your visit and contact the property owner in good time to reserve it.
