Somerset a county of surprises

Cross the River Severn using the M4 Road Bridge at Bristol and you enter the lovely and rural county of Somerset, one of the counties that lie in the region known as the West Country. This is a county of very contrasting landscapes, with flat former marshlands, rolling uplands hills, rich agricultural farmland and bleak windswept moorland. It has a very long coastline to the north with many seaside resorts dotted along the sea front from Portishead, Clevedon and Weston-Super-Mare and Burnham of Sea in the east to Watchet, Dunster, Minehead and Porlock in the West.
Somerset is a very popular holiday destination and thousands travel there for holidays in the peak season.
