Glasgow International Airport

Glasgow has two international airports, Glasgow International and Glasgow Prestwick. Glasgow International Airport is located 8 miles southwest of Glasgow City near Renfrew. The airport handles over 7 million passengers a year making it the 8th busiest airport in the UK.

The airport official opened in 1966. It has 2 runways and 1x terminal with three sections: East (low cost, Scottish Islands and Ireland) Central (Internal flights) and West (International). Glasgow International is a flight hub for EasyJet, BMI, Thomas Cook, Thompson, Flybe and Logganair.

Road access is via the M8 motorway, bus transport is via the Glasgow Flyer bus service 500 and the First Bus 747 route. The site is owned and operated by BAA.
