Dublin Airport

Dublin Airport is the busiest airport in Ireland and handles over 20 million passengers every year. It is situated 6 miles north of the City of Dublin, Ireland’s capital city.

The airport is the headquarters of Aer Lingus, the national airline and provides a hub for long, short and medium haul carriers to the USA, internal flights and to London, Europe and the Middle East.

The airport open in 1941 as the airport for the national airline Aer Lingus and now has three runways and two terminals. Major airlines using Dublin Airport include Aer Lingus, Ryanair, CityJet, Monarch, and Thompson.

The road access to the airport is from the M1 and the M50, bus services are provided by a very comprehensive number of routes with the main being Dublin Bus which runs to the city centre. Rail link is via Irish Rail to Connolly or Dublin Heuston Stations from which direct bus services run to the airport. Dublin Airport is owned and operated by Dublin Airport Authority.
